New Publications

I didn't realize how many stories and books I had on my computer that just needed a tweak or a last edit to be ready to publish. Since the beginning of November, I have been working steadily to finish them and getting them uploaded to Amazon. I still have more to finish, but the books/stories I've published recently are:

Some of these have been gathering dust on my hard drive for more than five years, waiting for me to get back to them. Unfortunately, when a new idea pops into my brain, I tend to jump into that story, forgetting the ones that still need completion. I didn't wait until January 1st to make a resolution to do better. All the above books/stories are enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, Amazon's subscription service that lets you read books enrolled in the program at no additional charge. Personally, I love it. It keeps my reading habit from breaking the bank.

Take care and stay safe,

Wolf's Heart Memorial Day Special!

Wolf's Heart Free Memorial Day - June 4!

#FATOP

Wolf's Heart is the story of how Jonathan, the Were King's Beta Wolf, meets his future mate.

I've had several requests for the rest of Jonathan's story. They still have adventures to enjoy before getting together, but that story will come soon.

If you missed this story, or if you want to own it instead of reading a borrowed copy, click the link above or click the image at the right to get your copy.

Blurb:

Wolf shifters trusting vampires? Just not done. Or is it?

Wolf shifter Jonathan is on his way home from San Antonio when he finds a wrecked car with an unconscious woman behind the wheel.

Stacy, cold-blooded vampire that she is, quickly succumbs to the below-freezing temps after wrecking her car in an attempt to avoid hitting a doe.

She's never met a shifter before. Trusting him isn't a good idea.

The only vampire Jonathan ever met who didn't try to kill him was General Brighton. Trusting Stacy isn't smart.

Falling in love isn't smart, either.

Other News

I love getting reader feedback and requests. It might take me a while to get around to them, but I put them on my list of things to write. Just one caveat: I am a discovery or pantser writer, which basically means I don't plot. I write 'into the dark' as taught by Dean Wesley Smith in his book Writing into the Dark: How to Write a Novel without an Outline. I was thrilled to learn that the way I write is a 'real' and acceptable method used by other authors. :)

I write with very little planning or plotting involved. That's why it sometimes takes me a while to write a book. Personally, I like learning the story as I write it. It keeps the writing fresh and fun.

Tala Ridge Storm

With 38,151 words written, Tala Ridge Storm, book 2 in the Tala Ridge Shifter series, is getting close to being done. I have about 5 to 6 chapters to go, so I expected to be able to publish this month.

New Story

I'm also working on a new short story in the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack World. As yet untitled, this story will feature Dottie's sixteen-year-old daughter, Marsha Paddock.

When seventeen-year-old Prince Artur, the spoiled son of the Russian Siberian Tiger Ambush Queen, sneaks out to enjoy Halloween, Marsha thinks it might be fun to go with him. Shifter teens trick or treating for the first time... What could go wrong?

I'm working on two books, right now. I started Tala Ridge Alpha, but an idea hit that I couldn't put aside. So, I'm also working on a book, as yet untitled, about Magnus' little sister coming to Earth. You never know what problems, or solutions, a teenage dragon might come up with. And her pet unicorn is bound to cause issues!

Wolf's Trust and Wolf's Reign Published in Large Print Paperback

Books 5 & 6: Available in Large Print Paperback

Wolf's Trust and Wolf's Reign of the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Series have been released in large print paperback. Wolf's Queen and Wolf's Enemy are next on the list to be published in this format.

Health News

I testing done, and the dreaded deep-vein-thrombosis my doctor worried about is a no-show! My husband and I were so relieved when the radiologists told me there was no sign of blood clots, and I could go home without stopping for a while at the hospital. I've been feeling better, but with that good news, I feel even better. Hopefully, it'll mean I can spend more time at the keyboard and get my WIP done quicker.

WIP News

A new surprise character has come into Wolf's Duty. I will tell you she is an orphaned female teenager, but let's leave it at that for now. At 45,607 words, I think I still have about 15,000 to go.

Wolf's Trust Available in Paperback!

Wolf's Trust Paperback Edition is Available

It took longer than I hoped, but the Wolf's Trust paperback edition is now on sale on Amazon for those who prefer to hold books in their hands!

Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Short Stories Coming!

With this book, there is only one more book in the series. However, I plan a few short stories to go with the series to fill in the gaps concerning characters who were important, but not always the main focus of the original series.

The first I am planning is Wolf's Sorrow, which I am putting the final touches on. It should publish on Monday (October 9, 2017) in ebook format. When all the stories are completed, I plan to publish an anthology of the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Short Stories, so that I can get them into paperback format, as well.

Wolf's Sorrow goes back to Snarl's early years as a Viking, the son of Leif Eriksson. As with all the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack series book and stories, it will publish in Kindle Unlimited, so that anyone with a subscription can read it free!

Wolf's Trust Update: Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Book 5

Wolf's Trust: Book 5 in the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Series

Wolf's Trust Update

This book as been a challenge. In a previous post, I mentioned that this is the first book I have written out of sequence. It has also been the most difficult to write to get everything that needed to happen done. Even so, I completed the first draft of the book last week.

Since then, I have been slowly working through spelling, grammar, and structure edits.

There are still three edits to complete, but they will be complete in time to publish the book this week. My target date is Wednesday, October 4th. I will post to let you know when it is available.

The cover has been completed. The blurb is below. Comments are always welcome!

Wolf's Trust

Evil must be contained. Compromised Huntsmen must die . . .

The Triumvirate, Commanders of the Black Forest Huntsmen, teach their hunters that werewolves are evil, human-eating animals.

When a Huntsman is captured by werewolves, the Triumvirate sends Zoe to kill the compromised hunter and destroy the pack.

But her efforts result in a traumatic head injury. Daryll, an Enforcer for the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack ensures Zoe gets medical treatment. Why would the evil were help her?

Believing Zoe, too, is compromised, a Huntsman attacks her in the emergency room. Daryll saves her, and Zoe's confusion grows.

Then Zoe learns the Triumvirate aren't the saviors of humankind she believes them to be. Will she follow her heart to help Daryll and the pack in their efforts to stop the Triumvirate?

Or will she blindly follow orders to destroy the pack?

Comparison Survey Wolf's Huntsman Cover

Wolf's Huntsman Cover Survey

The first image (#1) is the cover I first designed for the next book in the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack series. After some recommendations by other authors, I have made the adjustments in the second cover (#2).

I'm looking for feedback. Which cover would you be more likely to catch your eye? #1 or #2?

Please comment below and let me know which you like best.

Thank you for your input. I'm back to working on the book. I have nearly 22,000 words, now, so I am about  2/3 finished.

Update:  This cover has changed. It now looks like this:

Writers: Ping That Blog

Ping Your Blog

Why You Should Ping Your Blog

Pinging your blog posts helps Google and other search engines find your page. It's almost like sending a newsflash to the local television station when you have a newsworthy event. Adding a page to your blog, or updating an old post, are newsworthy events in the world of blogging. You need to let the search engines know the new content, or revised content, is available so they will crawl your page and index it.

Indexing your site allows Google to locate your page when a user types in a key term or key phrase search parameter, such as 'werewolf romances.' If my page has content about werewolf romances, it will be returned in the search. Where it is returned depends on a lot of factors, including how well you selected and used your key terms (a totally different topic).

When you are trying to get your site to rank higher or have more visitors, you should also leave comments on other blogs. After the comment is approved, if it doesn't show right away, ping that page, too. You are helping search engines find links back to your pages, and helping the blog you commented on, too.

Need more information? How and Why to Ping Your Blog is a good article to learn more.

Wolf's Claim Cover Reveal

Cover Reveal for Wolf's Claim

Wolf's Claim, Book 2 of the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack, is my current work-in-progress.

Sometimes, when I need to have a little inspiration for my writing, I stop and create the cover. It gives me time to consider the next step and what happens next.

By that last sentence, you will probably notice that I am primarily a pantser, meaning for fiction, I have only the barest of outlines if any at all.

If you would like to read the first book, Wolf's Man, it is now in Kindle Unlimited, meaning if you have a KU membership, you can borrow and read the book without paying for it.

Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Series

Wolf's Claim picks up where Wolf's Man ended. Each book in the series is a complete story, but each story will have some threads from previous books that are picked up and clarified or tied up in later books.

If everything works to my schedule, Wolf's Claim will be published toward the middle of July.

I am having such fun writing these stories. I sincerely hope you have as much fun reading them.

What do you think of the cover for Wolf's Claim? Please let me know in the comments!

Until later,
