Audiobooks!

 Wolf's Claim Is an Audiobook!

(Update: The Tala Ridge Shifters Series books are also in Audible! Links below:)

Wolf's Claim is available on Audible and Amazon. Brian and Warittha Powell did an excellent job of narrating this book.

My goal is to eventually get all my books in audio format, but that takes time for two reasons, the first of which is slowing the process: 1) it takes money, and 2) once a contract is made with a narrator, it takes time.

It's been suggested that I should try a Kickstarter or Patreon campaign to raise the funds needed. Depending on the length of the book and the narrator, the cost of getting each book in audio format is between $600 and $900 per book. I think the minimum required to get the entire series into audio would be about $8,000.

Do you think a fundraiser would be a good idea? And if so, would you consider participating/donating?

Let me know in a comment below, or contact me at lynn@lynnnodima.com.

Home Front

It's been a while since I posted here. My apologies. Life's been busy. I've been out with a bout of Covid in the first week of September, a bout of bronchitis in the first week of October, and something else that hit me about a week ago.

At the same time, I've been trying to learn a new job. I'm teaching high school English at a small public school, which is a major change for me. I've taught college computer courses, but it's way different. It helps pay the bills, but also takes up much of my time, making it harder to find time to write.

I'm still working on Tala Ridge Witch, though, and hope to have it done before year's end.

Audiobook News

At this point, the entire Tala Ridge Shifters series is available in audiobook at Audible and Amazon! I hope to raise funds to have Cara narrate Tala Ridge Witch when it's completed.

Dragon's Treasure Published

Available on Amazon

Dragon's Treasure Cover

While working on Tala Ridge Witch, I realized that Magnus, the dragon who slept for a century in the caves behind the Tala Ridge chalet, would be a necessary character for the plot.

At the weekly (sort of) writer's meeting I attend, we were asked to write about being banned from the library and how and why it happened. With Magnus on my mind, he was the perfect main character for the story. After writing for five minutes, time was called, and I realized I had the beginnings of a story that fit with Tala Ridge Witch.

I intended to make this story part of the book, but when it took 6,000+ words to finish it, I decided to make this a backstory and just touch on it in the book.

So, SURPRISE! I have a new, unplanned, unexpected (even by me!) short story about Magnus' first, and probably last, trip to the local library.

Blurb:

Never make a dragon shifter laugh...the flames can be deadly.

Yeah, it's pretty short, but it's all I could come up with without giving away the plot.

As usual, the story is enrolled in KindleUnlimited.

Enjoy!

Wolf's Victory Available in Paperback

Now Available in Paperback!

I said I would get this book published in paperback by the end of April. Due to my brief hospitalization, it was April 30 before I could get it uploaded to Amazon. It became available today, May 1, 2022.

If you have been waiting for the paperback edition of Wolf's Victory, it's available now. After reformatting to make sure it was the same physical size as Wolf's Destiny, I went through it and re-edited it, too.

Wolf's Victory includes the last six books in the series:

  • Wolf's Queen
  • Wolf's Enemy
  • Wolf's Rage
  • Wolf's Quest
  • Wolf's Guard
  • Wolf's Duty

Other News

I am in the process of selecting a narrator for Wolf's Man. Soon, sometime in the future, I will have an audio version of the book. As each book becomes available in audio format, I will get the process started for the next one.

The work-in-progress (Tala Ridge Witch) is coming along. Starting Friday, I intend to start posting my weekly word count again. A few short stories are swimming around in my head, too.

My Health

During my short hospital stay, doctors have regulated my prescriptions so that I'm feeling much better. I still have lots of tests and visits ahead, but at least I'm not lost in a fog, anymore. Writing is fun again. For a while, it felt like work and too difficult to do.

Tala Ridge Hunt Published!

Tala Ridge Hunt has Published!

The ebook version of Tala Ridge Hunt is now available on Amazon! The paperback will be out soon. I'll let you know when.

This story has introduced some new characters, including Jaxon, an eagle shifter who claims his people were in North America long before the wolves came to Earth, and a young witch, Patricia.

Both Jaxon and Patricia will show up in the next book, though at present I do not know when that will publish. Right now, I'm just starting the exploration/plotting phase.

I don't usually plot my stories, but I'm learning that when I have three or more books in a series, plotting becomes vital to make sure all the plot loops get closed.

On a personal note, I'm feeling much more like myself. Writing has become a joy again. I look forward to writing many more books and short stories.

Panther's Task: A Short Story in the TRWP Panther Clowder

 Panther's Task

Panther's Task
Panther's Task, a new short story in the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack (TRWP) World: Panther Clowder series, is up for pre-order!

If you prefer to wait until the actual sale date, you can get it on August 17!

Occasionally, throughout the rest of the year (2021), I plan to write and release short stories about the characters in the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Series.

This is Adrian Paddock's story.

Adrian is Marsha's older brother.

Her story is in Panther's Choice and is alluded to in Panther's Task.

I am still working on Tala Ridge Hunt, but it's not at a place where I am confident in setting up a pre-order.

Pre-order deadlines are firm and can't easily be changed, if at all.

Blurb:

A Young Adult Paranormal Shifter Story

Be careful what you wish for...

Good advice eighteen-year-old Adrian doesn't take.

When his best friend mates a dragon shifter and moves to another realm, Adrian feels a little lost.

When his younger sister is named heir to the queen, he wonders what his future holds for him.

All he wants is some adventure.

Then a human girl follows him into the woods asking for the impossible...

Who's story do you want to see next? I still have lots of options for writing about the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack. Do you prefer to know more about the wolves or the panthers or the bears? What about the two bear-shifter girls that got caught up in the trafficking ring in Wolf's Queen

Let me know...

Take care and stay safe,

Texas Ranch Wolf Pack: The Alpha King's Medallion

 Nate's Medallion

The Alpha's Medallion

Throughout the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack books, Nate wears his father's medallion which he was given in Wolf's Man.

The exact appearance of the medallion isn't described, except that it is bronze.

Since Snarl (Thorkell Leifsson), the ancient wolf shifter, is a Viking, the medallion is probably Norse. This medallion I found on Amazon looks about right.

The runes on this medallion are known as Vegvisir and were believed by the Vikings to protect and guide wayfarers.

This would make the Vegvisir work perfectly since Nate's father gave him the first one to protect him from the wolves hunting him. The other three he wears were spoils of the battle with his evil uncle in Wolf's Claim

In Wolf's Mission, Eli, Nate's foster- (later adopted-) brother also wears a medallion, though he can only wear one.

Is this similar to what you thought of when you read of Nate's medallion(s)? There are other possibilities below.

Other Possibilities

There are other designs that might work, too. Which is your favorite? The one above, or one of these?

Let me know which you think would work best.

Take care and stay safe,

Wolf's Heart Free Memorial Day - June 4!

#FATOP

Wolf's Heart is the story of how Jonathan, the Were King's Beta Wolf, meets his future mate.

I've had several requests for the rest of Jonathan's story. They still have adventures to enjoy before getting together, but that story will come soon.

If you missed this story, or if you want to own it instead of reading a borrowed copy, click the link above or click the image at the right to get your copy.

Wolf shifters trusting vampires? Just not done. Or is it?

Wolf shifter Jonathan is on his way home from San Antonio when he finds a wrecked car with an unconscious woman behind the wheel.

Stacy, cold-blooded vampire that she is, quickly succumbs to the below-freezing temps after wrecking her car in an attempt to avoid hitting a doe.

She's never met a shifter before. Trusting him isn't a good idea.

The only vampire Jonathan ever met who didn't try to kill him was General Brighton. Trusting Stacy isn't smart.

Falling in love isn't smart, either.

Kalene Williams' Narration

Chapter One of Tala Ridge Alpha Narrated by Kalene Williams

Kalene Williams of Kalene's Story Time is a writer, an editor, and one of the admins of Keystroke Medium, a terrific Facebook group for writers. If you write or are interested in getting started in the indie author field, check out the Keystroke Medium YouTube channel for informative and helpful videos for writers.

Kalene reads the first chapter or so of books submitted to her. I'm not sure of her criteria for selection, but I've enjoyed listening to the first chapters of the books she features. I've read several of them and have never been disappointed.

I am thrilled beyond words that Kalene selected Tala Ridge Alpha to read in her Kalene's Story Time. Thank you, Kalene!

I'm also working on a new short story in the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack World. As yet untitled, this story will feature Dottie's sixteen-year-old daughter, Marsha Paddock.

Introducing: Heather Karn, a YA Paranormal Author

Introducing Heather Karn

When I picked up Negative Energy by Heather Karn, I thought she was a new writer to me.

Negative Energy is a standalone book, but it is also the sixth book in The First Blood Series. The series has one book to go to be complete.

Visiting her author page on Amazon, I discovered that I have read other books she's written. Specifically, the Weregal Chronicles

Heather writes young adult paranormal books. While romance is in at least some of her books, profanity and overt sex are not there.

If you're looking for a new, clean paranormal young adult series, check out Heather's books. And if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, Heather's books are in KU!

(If not, check out the link at the bottom of the page for two free months. With a subscription, you can read all Heather's books without buying them!)

Negative Energy Blurb:

Shannon Dart’s magic is out of control. Rather, her flaring temper causes her magic to blow up the nearest object. With ninety days to learn control, and a bully set on making that impossible, Shannon is at her wits end. That is, until a wolf shifter appears in her first hour class after his pack moves to town. There’s something about this shifter that Shannon can’t put her finger on.

With Jackson’s help, Shannon is hopeful to learn control, especially when her magic responds to him. However, the rising tension between the magical coven and the wolf pack create problems for the two friends. If Jackson is the key to unlocking Shannon’s control, can they find a way to make it work while keeping their distance, or are they bound to fail?

Negative Energy is the story of how Shannon and Jackson met years before the events in First Blood. Can be read separately from the series.

Wolf's Son: Now Available on Amazon

Wolf's Son

Wolf's Son, a prequel to the Texas Ranch Wolf Pack Series, has been published!

For the past three years, Wolf's Son was only available to those who subscribed to my newsletter, Lynn's Muse.

In the past month, several of my readers have mentioned they would like to review the story. As a freebie to join my list, there was no easy way to review it.

So, I decided to publish Wolf's Son on Amazon in ebook format.

The book is still FREE for anyone who wishes to join my newsletter list

Subscribers receive two to four emails per month giving new information about upcoming books, or other news about me or my writing process.

However, not everyone wants to subscribe to mailing lists. I understand this. I'm a little choosy which lists I subscribe to, as well. I've been asked how to get the book (short story) without subscribing. Until now, this wasn't possible.

If you've read Wolf's Son, please consider leaving a review.

Sneak Preview

Grant Rollins wrapped his newborn son in a small blanket and put him in his mother’s arms. The wonder on her face matched that in Grant’s heart. I have a son! Visions of running through the pack howling his news vanished when Linette gasped. In her arms, their tiny baby shimmered, then changed to a squirming, whining pup.

Blinking at the panic in Linette’s eyes, Grant shook his head. “It can’t be,” he whispered to his mate. “It can’t!”

Beneath his son, Linette’s chest labored with her panicked breathing. “Grant, if Jackson finds out...”

“Shhh.” His heart raced and sudden beads of sweat dripped into his eyes. “Shhh.” Closing his eyes, Grant pressed his hand to his pup’s tiny head. Change and do not shift again without permission! A soft puppy whine ended as the pup shifted back to a baby.

Grant leaned close to his mate and pressed his hand to her forehead. Jackson will not harm him. We must leave. Now. Tonight. Before the others know he has birthed.

Wordless, she nodded. Her pain shivered through him. It’s too soon to move her, he told Fareth.

If we don’t, she and the pup will die.

Grant’s jaw ticked. Over my dead body. Fareth, his wolf, agreed.

Other News

I'm finding that splitting my attention between two stories helps clear my mind. So, at this point, I've written 24,412 words in Tala Ridge Storm

I'm also working on book 2 in The Billionaire Brothers sweet romance series, Not for Sale, with 8,084 words written.

By working on two stories at the same time, I can switch from one to the other when I have a minor plot issue to resolve.

If you enjoy reading billionaire romances, check out Lynn's Clean Romances Blog.
